Securing Success
This website has been developed as part of the Securing Success project delivered in Harrow by Education Strategy in partnership with seven schools: five primary and two secondary.
Funded by the London Schools Excellence Fund Round 3, English the key to integration in London, the objectives have been:
EAL pedagogy
Training to develop and enhance teacher skills through a model of partnership teaching with outstanding EAL specialists and consultants.
Innovative resources
Developed by teachers and consultants together these resources reflect literacy at KS2 and academic language at KS3 and KS4 and are designed to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum and to accelerate the attainment of EAL learners.
It is hoped that they model effective strategies which practitioners can go on to develop themselves.
